Learn More About Funding Options

Microsoft Voucher Settlement Fund

2.5 billion dollars from a Microsoft® settlement to resolve a class action suit that alleged it overcharged for its products is being provided to needy schools in 18 states and the District of Columbia for technology funding. Larson Learning® and professional development are an ideal fit for your Microsoft Settlement Funds.

Enhancing Education Through Technology

The Ed-Tech program is designed to improve student academic achievement through the use of technology in schools. It is also designed to assist students in crossing the digital divide by ensuring that every student is technologically literate by the end of eighth grade, and to encourage the effective integration of technology with teacher training and curriculum development to establish successful research-based instructional methods.

Special Education

The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), authorizes formula grants to states, and discretionary grants to institutions of higher education and other non-profit organizations to support research and demonstration programs serving the needs of special needs students. This funding is distributed to schools and districts through three formula-based grant programs. Special Education provides flexible funding to improve services for children and youth with disabilities. Funding can be used to reimburse costs associated with staff, training, and resources needed to help children with disabilities improve their achievement on state-administered tests.

Title 1

Title I is designed to ensure that all children have the opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach proficiency on challenging state academic standards and assessments. Title I funds may be used for a variety of services and activities including instruction in reading and mathematics, additional instructional staff, professional development, extended-time programs, and other strategies for raising student achievement.
