One Year Study of Fourth Graders in Kansas
During the 20032004 school year, the developers of Larson Learning® conducted research using Larson Learning® with fourth grade students to investigate the effectiveness on student learning. The Institute for the Advancement of Research in Education (IARE) at AEL in Charleston, West Virginia analyzed the data collected from the study and published the research.
This study confirms that students who had access to Larson’s Learning® performed better than similar students who did not have access to the program. It also confirms that, as a supplement to classroom instruction, Larson’s Learning® helped students learn their math skills. Students completed some or all of the assigned modules and, for 11 modules, scored significantly higher on Post-Tests than on Pre-Tests within the program.
